In order to enhance and protect the page we have set in within a gold frame with mount.
Frame size 400mm x 370mm. Available also in either a brown frame or a black frame – your choice. RL.275.
Entitled – The Foreign Office.
Below the picture an inscription reads:
The Foreign Office. – In this view is shown the grand staircase of the Foreign Office, handsomely decorated with shrubs and flowers on the occasion of a formal reception by the Premier. This fine staircase occupies a spacious area, measuring no less than 60ft. by 25ft. Of all the public offices, this is the most worthy of being inspected. As everybody knows, the Cabinet meets here, and also those Internaional Conferences in which Great Britain takes a part, and which may be appointed to be held in London. The principal apartments of the Foreign Office are on the first floor. On the occasion of a Cabinet Council, or other important function, held here, there is always a more or less considerable crowd outside – journalists waiting to get a little descriptive “copy,” and sightseers desirous of beholding men whose names are on every tongue.
